Introduction
Among the countless waterfalls in Oregon, Abiqua Falls stands out as one of the most secluded hidden waterfalls in the Pacific Northwest. Nestled deep within the Santiam State Forest near Scotts Mills, Abiqua is a 92-foot cascade plunging into a basalt amphitheater surrounded by moss and ferns. This spot isn’t easy to reach, making it magical and perfect for true wilderness seekers.
The Beauty of Abiqua Falls
Unlike popular waterfalls, Abiqua offers solitude and raw beauty. The amphitheater amplifies the roar of water, and sunlight filtering through mist creates rainbows. It’s a rare place to disconnect and immerse in nature.
